Woke up to early morning sun, blue skies and clear views of the mountains. Took some more pictures and started feeling altitude sickness. Laid down on the hammock, drank some water, and read Psalm 121 in Spanish.
A las montanas levanto mis ojos; de donde ha de venir mi ayuda? My ayuda proviene del SENOR, creador del cielo y de la tierra.
As I left my eyes to the mountains all around us this morning, it is comforting to know that the One who made all these mountains – is the God who is watching over all of us wherever we are and whatever we are facing.
El SENOR es quien te cuida, el SENOR es tu sombra protectora.
Thank you Lord for taking care of us, for being our protection. It is now 8 a.m. The clouds are beginning to cover the top of the mountains, but still lots of sun and blue sky. Time to go down and eat breakfast – te caliente, jugo de mora, and pan. Then more of the fresh pineapples and mango we bought at the market yesterday.
Took taxi to Peguchi and had a relaxing afternoon exploring the village. More later if the power does not go out again. The hostal just brought candles telling us it will likely go out again.
