The theme for Lent this week is “I wait for the Lord.” A good theme for anyone traveling, especially in the south, but also a good theme for us all as we join the disciples in waiting for Easter.
Each day, I am feeling some better. Yesterday, I was able to eat soup and some chicken. Hopefully, today I can eat a regular meal – it’s been four days since I’ve eaten a regular meal, but each day I’m feeling much better and feeling stronger. I’ve done a lot of waiting for the Lord the last four days.
Yesterday was so much fun being with Janelle in her teaching and with Frank at work. In the evening, we went again with Janelle to the evening class of students she teaches. And then we were together with friends later in the evening.
This morning, Judy and I walked down to the train station and the market. We learned the train no longer runs from Riobamba. So we are about to leave for Alausi – about an two hour bus ride. Tomorrow we hope to take the train and then return to Riobamba probably on Thursday. May not have internet on this trip.
