We rode the train from Alausi down a deep gorge on train tracks that took decades to design and create. It is an amazing experience to see and experience. At the bottom, we had a lunch and then began the trek back up. This afternoon, we took the bus to Guamote, walked up a long hill, asking several people how to get to a hostal named Inti Siti - a hostal created to improve the education and community of Guamote. We spent the late afternoon and evening walking around town and sitting in the square watching people. Tomorrow is the Thursday market, one of the largest indigenous markets in Ecuador.
